RIIHAN309F – Conduct Telescopic Materials Handler Operations
RIIHAN309F - This unit is designed for participants to gain the necessary skills to plan, prepare and complete operations on a Telescopic materials handler, also known as a “Telehandler” less than 3 tonnes capacity. On completion of this course participants will be able to conduct routine checks; plan work; check controls, operate and shut down a Telehandler.
Course Overview: This unit covers - Planning and preparing for operations - Selecting, fitting and removing attachments - Conducting pre-operational checks - Operating the Telehandler - Attaching, securing, lifting, carrying and placing materials and loads - Relocating the telescopic materials handler from one site to another - Carrying out machine operator maintenance - Cleaning up.
This unit is appropriate for those working in operational roles.
Course Cost: This course attracts a fee of $750.00 per participant and is GST exempt. These fees cover all training, assessment, use of machinery/equipment, stationary (books, pens, use of calculator and resources) and most importantly, the amazing experience.
A 50% deposit is required when making a booking as spaces are limited. Corporate rates and group pricing is also available.
Deposits are fully refundable if your booking is cancelled with more than 7 days’ notice from your course start date. If the booking is cancelled within seven or less days’ notice, then only 50% of the booking fee is refundable.
The full course fee must be paid prior to the final assessment and prior to issuing any official course outcome documentation (Statement of Attainment). In the event that we have not received the full payment, we will withhold the documentation which will then be sent via Registered Mail upon receipt of payment, at no additional cost. Upon completion of the course, the participant will be issued a statement of attainment in the above unit.

Course Duration: 3 Days but can exceed depending on the number of participants.
Dress Code: PPE must be worn, steel cap safety boots, high visibility clothing and hard hat.
