RIIHAN307E – Operate a Vehicle Loading Crane (Less Than 10 Metre/Tonnes Capacity)

RIIHAN307E – This unit is designed to teach participants how to safely operate truck-mounted vehicle loading cranes that don't fit the requirements for High-Risk Work Licensing due to their capacity. A current Licence to perform dogging is not a prerequisite for this course.

The work required in this unit relates to the National Standard for High-Risk Work but this unit does not provide the licence. Licensing, legislative, regulatory or certification requirements that may apply to this unit can vary between states, territories, and industry sectors, and must be sourced from relevant state jurisdictions prior to applying this unit.

Course Overview: This unit qualifies participants to become a vehicle loading crane operator (Hiab operator), which capacity does not exceed 10 m/t. - Prepare for vehicle loading crane operations - Operate vehicle loading crane in line with established requirements to complete work activity - Conduct housekeeping activities - Plan and prepare for lifting operations - Preparing for lifting - Move loads.

Course Cost: This course attracts a fee of $700.00 per participant and is GST exempt. These fees cover all training, assessment, use of machinery/equipment, stationary (books, pens, use of calculator and resources) and most importantly, the amazing experience.

A 50% deposit is required when making a booking as spaces are limited. Corporate rates and group pricing is also available.

Deposits are fully refundable if your booking is cancelled with more than 7 days’ notice from your course start date. If the booking is cancelled within seven or less days’ notice, then only 50% of the booking fee is refundable.
 
The full course fee must be paid prior to the final assessment and prior to issuing any official course outcome documentation (Statement of Attainment). In the event that we have not received the full payment, we will withhold the documentation which will then be sent via Registered Mail upon receipt of payment, at no additional cost. Upon completion of the course, the participant will be issued a statement of attainment in the above unit.

Course Pre-requisites:

• Participants must be 18 years of age or older

• All participants need to be able to speak and understand English

• Have a (USI)-Unique Student Identifier, please visit https://www.usi.gov.au/ if you do not have one.

Course Duration: 1 Day but can exceed depending on the number of participants.

Dress Code: PPE must be worn, steel cap safety boots, high visibility clothing and hard hat.

Upon Successful Completion:

• Nationally recognised Statement of Attainment (SOA) for fulfilling the requirements of RIIHAN307E Operate a Vehicle Loading Crane (less than 10 metre tonne capacity)
