CPCCLTC4001 CT Licence to Operate a Tower Crane

This program is based on the National High-Risk Licence Subject CPCCLTC4001: Licence to operate a tower crane. The subject is nationally recognised and can only be delivered by a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that complies with the governing standards of quality control and quality training and assessment. Assessment is based on competency i.e. ability to perform tasks to a required standard. Assessment is conducted through a combination of practical demonstration, written testing, and at times verbal questioning.
Being able to read and write English suitable to understand the regulations and undertake the written test and have a working knowledge of maths and mathematical formulas.
 

Course Overview: Requirements for HRW Licence. Workplace Health & Safety Legislation & operating procedures. – Effectively communicate and work safely with others in the work area. – Risk assessment and management procedures. – Planning the job. – Conducting routine checks. – Positioning and setting up the crane. – Transferring the load. – Shutting down and securing the crane.

What is a tower crane? A tower crane is a jib or boom/jib crane mounted on a tower structure. They can be demountable or permanent and can have a horizontal or luffing jib. Tower cranes may be operated from a cabin or by remote control.

Course Cost: $1950.00 per person the participant will need to pay the SafeWork licence fee of $90.00 (subject to change) will need to be paid at an Australia Post “photo point” shop. We are prevented by law from managing this process. The licence will need to be renewed with SafeWork every five years.
These fees cover all training, assessment, use of machinery/equipment, stationary (books, pens, use of calculator and resources) and most importantly, the amazing experience.
 
A 50% deposit is required when making a booking as spaces are limited. Corporate rates and group pricing is also available.

Deposits are fully refundable if your booking is cancelled with more than 7 days’ notice from your course start date. If the booking is cancelled within seven or less days’ notice, then only 50% of the booking fee is refundable.

The full course fee must be paid prior to the final assessment and prior to issuing any official course outcome documentation (Statement of Attainment). In the event that we have not received full payment, we will withhold the documentation which will then be sent via Registered Mail upon receipt of payment, at no additional cost. Upon completion of the course, the participant will then be issued a statement of attainment in the above unit. Participants who do not satisfactorily complete the course in the first attempt have 90 days from the course completion to undertake a second and third attempt at the assessment at an additional cost (to be determined on a case-by-case basis).  Participants who wait longer than 90 days to undertake the second attempt will need to re-enrol into the course and pay the full course fee.

Course Pre-requisites:


Course Duration: 5 Days

Dress Code: PPE must be worn, steel cap safety boots, high visibility clothing and hard hat.

Upon Successful Completion:

  • Nationally recognised Statement of Attainment (SOA) for fulfilling the requirements of CPCCLTC4001 CT Licence to operate a Tower Crane.

  • A SafeWork NSW licence to perform high-risk work application form is to be lodged at Australia Post within 60 days of the completion of the assessment
